Delete your account

Permanently delete your Bogey Logger account and the cloud data associated with it.

Delete your account in the app

Open Bogey Logger and go to Me → Account → Delete Account. Follow the identity-confirmation steps and approve the final deletion warning.

This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

What we delete

After verifying the request, we delete the Bogey Logger account and account-associated cloud data under our control, including:

• Authentication account and account identifiers.
• Profile information and privacy preferences.
• Friend code, email lookup entry, friend relationships, and pending friend requests.
• Private cloud backups of rounds and saved courses.
• Notifications, device push tokens, leaderboard statistics, and the subscription provider customer record.
• Entitlement and scorecard-scan usage records stored under your account. Separate retained trial-use history is explained below.
• Hosted temporary multiplayer rounds and your linked participation and score-change references in other temporary rounds.

Data that may remain

• Data on your device: in version 1.1, after cloud deletion succeeds in the app, it signs out and removes only the deleted account's local database on that device before showing completion. If cleanup fails, use the retry screen; a pending cleanup marker allows another attempt after a restart. Older versions may leave local data until you clear app storage or uninstall. Email-requested deletion cannot erase device-only data remotely. Data on other devices, including copies saved by other players, is not erased remotely.
• Community course data: contributed course information and green reference points may remain as shared reference data after your contributor, editor, and reviewer account identifiers are removed. You may identify a specific contribution in your email if you also want it reviewed for removal.
• Course reports: we retain reports for moderation without a fixed automatic expiry. We remove the reporter account identifier and replace the account-linked record ID. Text you entered may still contain personal information; contact us to request review.
• Trial-use history: where identity-based trial checks apply, protected hashes of verified email addresses and sign-in identities, original trial dates, and scan-use counts remain after deletion to prevent repeat trials. This history contains no raw email address or Firebase account ID, but the hashes are pseudonymous identifiers, not anonymous data. There is no fixed automatic expiry. The separate account-ID trial ledger is removed after authentication-account deletion succeeds; a cleanup failure can leave that ledger for follow-up removal.
• Store transaction records: Apple or Google may retain purchase and transaction records under their own legal and accounting obligations. Those records are controlled by the applicable store.
• Required retention: limited records may be retained when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or compliance with law. Any retained information remains protected and is deleted when no longer required.

Subscriptions must be canceled separately

Deleting your Bogey Logger account does not automatically cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel the subscription in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings to prevent future renewal charges.

Processing time

We will acknowledge your request and aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days. We will email you when processing is complete or if we need information to verify the account.
